Ianthe Necklace

This Ianthe necklace features a seed bead rope that winds over and under pearls (or round beads) to make a striking necklace. You can make the centre section longer… or shorter… or continue making over and under loops for the whole necklace.

This is an intermediate project, for beaders with some experience.

This is what you need to make the version shown (length excluding clasp 44cm / 17.5 in):

Necklace Length - excluding clasp 44cm/nearly 17.5 inches
size 11 seed beads 15 to 16 grams
size 8 seed beads 4 grams
size 15 seed beads, for the clasp  14 beads
6mm pearls or round beads  15 beads
clasp with rings big enough to take a loop of size 15 beads 1
Fireline (or thread of choice...but Fireline is easier to unpick!)
Beading needle
You will also need scissors, and you may wish to use beading wax.
